minds boiling at chez Candles, the new baby (blog) is about to be done! We're gonna work on it the whole evening!
(ermm well ok, I'll mainly be a psychological support :P)

(Martin will take the background that looks the best with the posts and links, etc. He'll try to add in it a bit of what we all wanted... surprise surprise!)

Roses are red, violets are blue, you thought I'd forget, didn't you?

Well, here's a little Valentines picture, made just for you two!

I hope you both, Candles & Jenny, had a hot day (or night) that would make even me blush!

Hi there,

here are the images I am considering at the moement.
Try also to imagine the blog content in the picture.
Which one(s) do you like?
Any other suggestions?

1) an american diner

2) a 60ies retro café
3) stylish 50ies ambiance
4) Hopper's nighthawks, warm colors
5) something different, this is highway 66

just a supa quickie to tell you Martin's been working on the new page... he has a couple of backgrounds (bars and pubs) and just have to try which is the best as a blog background.
Other details to come soon.

But Martin neeeeds a title for the new bloggie.

Brainstorming session on the way!
We should all, if you agree, put in the comments box a list of whatever title comes to our mind and once it's done I'm sure one title (on which we will all agree) will just fit perfectly!

wooooosh

It's gonna be a quickie, I warn you!

Motivated by Jenny's presence, I've thought a bit about the DHN.
(I hope you still read them, Jack ;-)

We finally manage to post 1 blog per month. Which isn't that bad when you think of it.
So what do we want with the DHN...???

The end of it? No, of course not, but it's so dusty, how can we hope to give it life again really...?
We're all busy, we've all zillions of priorities and the DHN are really about the last thing we think about, no?

hm.
Yet, a blog like that, fed by different people from different countries, people that truly became internet friends, is not like nothing.

As I told to Jenny in an email earlier, why not making of the DHN a place where we would share bits of our life, but in a different way than on our personal blogs.
(stop me if I'm getting too complicate! :P)

I think, besides our usual posts where we give news here, or write about whatever, we could launch a topic every month, on which we would all write. It could be whatever... like (I dunno! lol)... "have you ever been close to death?" ... or... "What's your biggest fears in life?" ... again... "What is the place that you visited and really loved, and why?" ...
This idea of launching a topic would certainly open intimate doors that we've not explored yet, who knows.
I like the idea.

Besides, I guess it would be easier to invite more people if we had a real "theme" for the DHN (like this "monthly writing")

So, here are my points (and all your points and ideas are most welcome)
tell me what you think for each of them

1. Do you want to go on with the DHN? If not, really that's ok for me, I mean, answer in the most honest way you can. If you don't want to go on, t'is ok, really. We're not going to force ourselves here.

2. who agree for a monthly topic ?

3. I think we could change completely the DHN page, from a graphic point of view. New page and all! We could keep the stamp idea though, it's pretty nice and practical..
I would ask Martin if he'd agree to make it, except if one of you want to make it. What do you think?

4. Before the new graphic, I think we could give a new name to the DHN, something that would reflect our 2008 spirit or whatever?
We could all propose different titles and the one everybody prefers will be chosen... what do you think?

5. If we make all these changes, I can imagine we start again inviting people to participate. personnally, I think about Laurienna and Hiro, maybe Mahie too.
Who would you invite? As far as I am concerned, anybody nice and funny and in partymood is welcome :P

Ok, I think it wasn't a quickie at all... (grrrmmmphhing at meself)

Take care, you all!

New Year's resolution : write in the DHN !

Happy New Year to the DHNers and DHNettes ! That includes Penny, naturally. I do hope she is happy and enjoying summer down under.

I have many big plans for 2008. I want to :

- find a job I really like and which pays enough for me to be financially independent
- bring out the "happy girl" in me
- love myself (I'm beginning to, really !)
- make the most of the time I spend with Sylvain (I only have him half the time)
- make loads of new friends
- see my "old friends" more often
- meet blogging friends : yes, I mean you... I'd love to meet you !
- be creative (more pottery lessons, drawing, writing)
- go to the movies at least twice a month
- go out to pubs and meet people
- take dancing lessons to feel more comfortable with my body
- talk to my Dad and manage to really communicate with him
- read loads of books
- go back to the swiming pool !
- fall in love !
- have fun if I don't...

I don't want to :
- put on weight : I now weigh 58 kg and I like it.
- complain, sit around and do nothing
- be angry, jealous etc

What a programme !
What about you ? Any resolutions for 2008 ?
I hope Candy's book deals will bring her recognition and Euros !
I hope Peter will keep that blog of his going. I want to see more of YOUR pics.

It's time to dust up this place ! And I need to find a new stamp to go with the new ME !
